The Club was founded in 1907 and is the second oldest of the three clubs. The late Mrs. Mollie Castle, whose long association with the Club as chairperson and then President, was considered a doyenne of the breed having bred more than fifty champions in her fifty plus years in the breed.

The Club holds two shows every year, one championship show and one open show. Both are very well attended and we welcome everyone, not only exhibitors but anyone who is interested in our dear “Charlies”

The Club also produces a full colour yearbook and a newsletter in alternate years which contain photos, articles and other items, this is free to all fully paid members.

We also have a puppy register which gives detail of any puppies available for sale and sometimes older ones that are looking for a good home.

The Club Stall run by Liz Rushton has an extensive range of bags, china, models, and a host of other giftware which are available all at modest prices.  We also support the King Charles Spaniel Rescue with a separate stall.

Although the club has a healthy membership we always welcome applications from anyone who is interested in King Charles Spaniels not only from the show side of things but from those people who simply have them as a companion and friend.  It is one way of keeping in touch with with the up to date happenings in our breed.  We do enjoy hearing of other peoples experience with “Charlies”

Our annual subscriptions are   £8.00 single    £10.00 Joint    £14.00  overseas.
