The old “King Charles Spaniel Rescue” was reformed in August 2019 and renamed “The Two Club Breed Rescue.” It produced its amended constitution in November 2019.

The “Rescue” has been formed by the efforts of “The Northern King Charles Spaniel Club” and “The King Charles Spaniel Association” who are committed to working together for the betterment of the breed.

It is always sad when, through adverse circumstances, new homes need to be found for King Charles Spaniels needing rescue from their current environment or where owners find themselves, through changed circumstances, unable to look after the dog/s in their care. This is where “The Two Breed Rescue” comes in. They will support the owner to rehome their dog/s to the original breeders or find new homes for them if that is not possible. They will always act in a sympathetic and caring way ensuring that the dog/s best interests are kept paramount.

The NKCSC and the KCSA believe that the best way in which this work can be carried out is by working together and pooling resources so that a network of officers can operate nationwide.

If you wish to support this cause, then donations are always welcome.

THE SILENT AUCTION IN AID OF THE TWO BREED CLUB RESCUE

Sadly, due to the Covid pandemic it was necessary to cancel the NKCSC Open Show in 2020. It felt sensible to postpone the closure of the silent auction which, at that time, was still in progress, and had hoped to be concluded at the show.

With the opening of restrictions and the commencement of KCS club shows we can now announce that the Silent Auction will open on Monday 18 October and close at 12pm Wednesday 3 November. Successful bidders will be able to collect their auction items at the KCSA Championship Show being held on Saturday 6 November at Peopleton Village Hall.

The delay to the conclusion of the Silent Auction has provided us with at least one benefit. There is now a new lot which has been designated “LOT 0”. Matilda Morris, a University Graduate, who paints in her spare time, would like to auction her services to paint an 18 x 20ins portrait of the successful bidder’s dog or cat. Postage to be paid by the successful bidder. Examples of her work are shown on the Silent Auction FB page.

If you are not able to collect your auction item, could you please make separate arrangements with Stephen Smith, Chairman of the NKCSC, any postage required will need to be paid by the successful bidder.

So all that remains is to say “GET BIDDING”!
